July Newsletter 2010

I hope this finds everyone with their motors purring and in good health. Sorry this is a little late.

Ranch radio wants to participate in our events and our club to help with some of theirs. I will pass the details along as I receive them.

June events

June 4 was our Cruise-in at Texas Best Smokehouse 6 pm-????.

Great turnout – filled the parking lot! AJ is doing a great job as our host.

June 5 – Midway Fly-in – 7 a.m. – 11 a.m.

This event seems to grow every year – this year there were more cars than planes.

Po Boys show in Granview was a huge success again this year – about 70 cars.

Some of the MCW members attended.

June 13-Tobacco Hut Cruise-in – 1 to 4 p.m. Free food and about 40 – 45 cars. Loads of

Door prizes.

June 19- Uptown Village Cruise-in, 6 p.m. - ??

Sorry I missed this one but heard we had about 40 cars.

July 2^{nd –}

^{Cruise in at Texas Best Smokehouse. Even with the rain, we still had about 10-15 cars.}

^{Ranch radio was there along with the band. Ranch radio gave away t-shirts and tickets to various events.}

July 24 – Cars in the Park – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Club of the Month is Midlothian Classic Wheels.

July 24 – Cars in the Park – 10 – 2 @ Getzendaner Park.

Okay everyone, this is your chance to enjoy loads of cars, trucks, food, door prizes and the beautiful setting of Getenzdaner Park in Waxahachie. Entry fee is $15.00. Gates open at 8:30am and registration starts at 9:00am.

Entry fee will be collected at the gate to speed up registration. So far there are over 50 awards with more coming. Our thanks to the Daily Light and all of the sponsors, friends and MCW members that make this a growing event. This year’s recipient is Mission Midlothian. We are going to need all the help we can get!

Ranch radio is going to do a remote broadcast from the park. KBEC, Waxahachie is also being contacted – maybe they will be there also.

Several vendors have already signed up to have a booth at the show.

Aug 22^nd – Back to School Party @ Presbyterian Children’s Home 1-5pm.

Sept 4 – Brookshires Red Oak. This show is still in the planning stages. Will pass along

information as we receive it.
